Homeowner Demand Sparks Innovation in Hardwood Flooring

(ARA) - The results are in: When asked what flooring material they want in their kitchen, halls, bedrooms and entryway, homeowners say that wood is the way to go. Realtors agree — a national survey by real estate agents conducted by the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA), found that 90 percent believe homes with wood floors sell faster. Despite all the alternatives available today, genuine hardwood continues to attract admirers with its timeless appeal and warmth.

At one time, choices in hardwood floors were fairly limited. Homeowners had only a handful of options. But that has changed dramatically. Recognizing the increase in demand, flooring manufacturers have broadened their product lines to reflect the diversity in tastes and budgets.

For example, today’s homeowners can choose whether they want plank, strip or parquet hardwood flooring, and in what width or thickness. They can determine whether they prefer solid wood or engineered wood. Of course, homeowners must also select the species they want, and what grade. Grade is generally determined by how clear or variegated the appearance of the wood is. Most types of hardwood are available either pre-finished or unfinished. Special “hand scraping” techniques are also available to give floors an aged look and feel.

With so many options available homeowners can get exactly what they want. So why would anyone hesitate to install a wood floor? Generally, it is due to misconceptions about the initial cost of hardwood or the intensity of ongoing maintenance. While there may have been some truth to those concerns with previous generations of hardwood floors, they are certainly not true any longer. Surprisingly, in spite of the sophisticated new approaches, wood upgrades are relatively affordable. The cost ranges from $7 to $12 per square foot installed. Variables such as species and grade account for most of the fluctuation.

New finishes have taken the sting out of maintenance as well. Old options such as shellac and varnish that were popular in homes built prior to 1960 have been replaced by durable surface finishes and wax finishes. A properly maintained floor should only need waxing once or twice a year.

With growing concern about the environment and natural resources, many homeowners would prefer an “eco-friendly” flooring product. That may seem at odds with the desire for wood floors, since some hardwoods are obtained from old growth forests in countries where environmental regulations are lax. However, new environmentally conscious hardwood floor products are now readily available. And they are affordable.

It’s not necessary to select antique wood to be environmentally responsible. There are innovative new products that are serious about “being green.” Lyptus hardwood flooring from Weyerhaeuser is one example. According to Ian Firth of Weyerhaeuser Building Materials, “We spent five years conducting research and extensive testing to bring something new to the high-grade wood flooring industry that we can honestly say is 100 percent sustainable for the environment.”

When asked about the specific environmental benefits of Lyptus, Firth explained, “We selected a Eucalyptus hybrid as the primary species for Lyptus that grows in Brazil. In that climate, the trees we planted on our plantations will grow to full size in 14 to16 years — two to three times quicker than comparable species. This enables us to produce more flooring material faster, while using less of the earth’s resources. The plantations are also interspersed with indigenous species to help maintain the natural ecosystem.”

Lyptus is being hailed as the new elegant hardwood, with strength, density and technical characteristics comparable to Maple and higher than Red and White Oak. In appearance, it more closely resembles Mahogany or Cherry. Natural and warm hues with a fine grain pattern, Lyptus can be finished to take on virtually any floor stain desired.

In short, today’s homeowners can have it all in their wood flooring — a wide choice of styles, good value and responsible environmental practices. Hardwood floors are cleaner, less likely to collect dirt, dander and are possibly connected with less allergens in the air. Couple these characteristics with natural aesthetic advantages, and hardwood flooring is destined to be a favorite for many years to come.

An easy weight loss method that works…

An easy weight loss method that works every time has yet to be invented but that doesn’t mean you should give up looking; good programs are out there that can make a difference, as many dieticians will tell you. Being overweight is the cause of many medical conditions which require long term attention but obesity also affects the way we see ourselves as well.

You must not forget that the success of any easy weight loss method will be as a result of the person using it as a correct attitude is paramount. Your primary reason for losing weight must be clear whether it is too improve your looks or for health reasons; once you know this, then you must decide.

Many people forget that a number of factors must be included in any weight loss program from the amount of physical activity involved down to the type of food eaten, when, and how often. Don’t be too ambitious and set yourself impossible tasks like losing 30 pounds in less than a month; this is not sensible because it can have a vast impact on the entire body bringing about other health problems like anemia or heartburn.

To keep things simple it is easier to consider that one pound lost per week is realistically the equivalent to around 3,500 calories which breaks down to losing 500 calories a day, every day whether through dieting, exercise or both. Although most people eat far too much junk food, there is nothing wrong with a little now and then, and no-one should have to give up every type of food they enjoy although some thought should be given to how much is consumed.

Of course we often eat more when we do not feel very good about ourselves or are depressed about our life, which is often called comfort eating. These poor eating habits are causing serious concerns within the medical community as the number of people contracting type 2 diabetes increases which is usually as a result of obesity, not too mention cancer and heart conditions. The answer to permanent weight reduction is not just about easy weight loss diets but the person themselves and their psychological attitude to the problem.

One aspect that also needs to be included is how the person pursues the subject of their weight loss program as those who take a more relaxed approach are usually more successful. This type of attitude is good for a person in all walks of life as it provides the person with a positive mind frame. The great thing about weight loss is the extra energy you feel and how much more positive your outlook is to life in general which obviously has an impact on self-esteem as well.

Although they are not easy, easy weight loss programs do bring results if you persist because it is this determination that will eventually help you achieve what you want.

My, Too Cumbersome!

My, How Cumbersome!

Terry Dashner……………….Faith Fellowship Church PO Box 1586 Broken Arrow, OK 74013

His name is John Stossel. You might know him as co-anchor of ABC’s 20/20. He has written a really good book entitled, Give Me A Break How I Exposed Hucksters, Cheats, and Scam Artists and Became the Scourge of the Liberal Media… (Perennial Currents 2004).

The reason I’m commenting on his book is because it strikes a nerve with mea raw nerve at that. I love my nation. I think Government is, by and large, composed of good men and women who really do work for the common good. I believe most leaders are honest and pretty sharp; however, the system they serve is broken. The Government has become so large and cumbersome that it impedes progress. Stossel’s book supports my reasoning. Let me share some of his insights.

“Last year, the Agriculture Department paid subsidies of almost $200 million to make sure some sheep and goat ranchers made a profit. Why? Because in 1954, nine years after World War II, congressmen argued it was crucial to ‘national security’ that America have enough wool to make soldiers’ uniforms. Today most military uniforms aren’t even made of wool, but no matter, the Agriculture Department still gives the farmers handouts.”

I think the United States would have surplus monies if it would trim back its leviathan Government and stop wasting money. For example, “At the Pentagon, the accounting discrepancies total $2 trillion. ‘They may have it. They just don’t know where it is,’ David Walker, head of the General Accounting Office, told me. How can they not find that much money? Walker says the Pentagon has bought things with it, but doesn’t know what. ‘They don’t know that they have it,’ he says. ‘They may buy it again.’

“No private company could get away keeping its books that way. The investors would be all over it. It would go bankrupt. The managers might go to jail. When I said that to Walker, he answered, ‘We’re not a private company.’”

Stossel says, “There you have it. Government doesn’t have to follow the same rules. When they lose money, they just demand we give them more. And we do.” Why do we do that? Why haven’t we demanded fiscal responsibility of our Government? The Republicans blame the Democrats for spending. The Democrats blame the Republicans, and nothing significant ever gets done. We still see fraud and waste in spending. Will it ever change?

I believe that Government is essential to any society. I believe that laws should be enacted and enforced for the common good; however, I believe Government can get too big and too powerful. When our Government was first formed, it gave us basic services and taxed us a fraction of what we are taxed today. After the Stock Market crash of 1929, our Government started expanding to help the common man get back to work. Good idea, but we are still paying the bill. The Government kept growing until it became unmanageable.

Thanks to the great Reformers named Martin Luther and John Calvin, America was built on Capitalism. The free market is the foundation on which America has prospered for over 200 years. The free market continues to fuel America today, but it is ever in danger of being doused by big Government and its controls. Government services can be good, but Government can’t change and flex in short notice like Capitalism can. Competition among American merchants is good for everyone involved. But Government services can’t flex and move like free markets can. Government services are too fat, and too slow to adapt to changing markets; therefore, Government should govern and let business do what it does bestdo business. What say you?

Give Stossel’s book a read, and then write your Representative, telling her she needs to be advised. Americans are demanding a shaping up and trimming down of their Government. Pastor T. dash.

Buying Wholesale Web Site Traffic

Wholesale web site traffic may sound appealing because you can
literally purchase 10,000 hits for less than fifty bucks, and of
course, the traffic broker will promise you that the traffic sent
to your website is targeted traffic.

Undoubtedly, buying cheap traffic will deliver hits to your
website and for some types of businesses; the kind of traffic
that is delivered by a traffic broker is good.

For other types of businesses, buying traffic in bulk may be a
total waste of money.

Some traffic brokers are above board; however, some use rather
annoying tactics to drive traffic to your website and are less
than ethical in regard to guaranteeing targeted traffic.

The main sources of wholesale web site traffic promoted by
traffic brokers are generated through pop-up or pop-under
advertisements or from expired domains.

There are advantages and disadvantages to each. Sometimes they
are effective, if they are truly targeted or if your products and
services appeal to a very general audience, and if tricks aren’t
used to direct traffic to your website.

Otherwise, the traffic you do receive when you purchase wholesale
web site traffic won’t be worth the bandwidth it consumes, not to
mention the price you pay for it even if it is cheap web site
traffic.

If you have used the internet for very long, you know how
incredibly annoying pop-up and pop-under advertisements can be.

If you are like most people, you make a disgusted sigh while you
close all of the pop-ups and pop-unders that come up when you
visit a website, all the while hoping that they haven’t resulted
in harm to your computer such as viruses, adware or spyware.

Sometimes pop-ups are good when they are used appropriately, like
to build opt-in lists for a website or to remind visitors of
specials before they leave a site that they actually chose to
visit.

However, the pop-up and pop-under tactics used by wholesale web
site traffic brokers generally consist of placing pop-ups and
pop-unders on a wide variety of high traffic websites.

When an unsuspecting internet user goes to one of the websites,
your advertisements pop-up or your website opens in a pop-under
page.

In most cases, the aggravation sets in for the internet user as
they close your website and advertisements.

So, you may have gotten a hit to your website, but it was
unproductive and may have even caused a little impairment to your
business’s reputation.

On the other hand, if your products and service appeal to a very
general audience, when the pop-up or pop-under is displayed, it
may provoke some interest resulting not only in traffic to your
site, but also in sales.

So, this type of traffic is not all bad for all businesses.
Traffic that comes from expired domains can be very effective if
it really is targeted traffic.

For instance, if you sell medical supplies, and the traffic being
sent to you through a traffic broker is from an expired domain
for a website that sold medical supplies and was well advertised,
you will receive the traffic which consists of internet users who
were attempting to visit the previously existing medical supply
site.

This can be excellent targeted traffic that can be truly
beneficial to you. However, if the traffic is coming from
expired domains for previously existing websites that are not
relevant to what you offer on your website, then it won’t likely
be incredibly productive.

If you choose to purchase wholesale web site traffic, do check
out the providers of the traffic to find out how they generate
traffic and the source of the traffic.

Also, proceed with caution. Purchase the traffic in small lots
and follow your website statistics to see if the traffic is
actually producing results before you move to buy more traffic
and to spend more of your precious marketing money to non-
productive traffic to your website.

An Interview with Author Nancy Geary About Her Latest Release “Being Miss Alcott”

Interviewer Christopher Seufert sat down with author Nancy Geary in between
promotional events for the release of her latest novel “Being Miss Alcott.” Latest
release and information about Nancy can be found at www.NancyGeary.com.

Christopher Seufert: So you’re teaching a class on how to write your first novel?

Nancy Geary: Yes, at the Cape Cod Writers Conference.

CS: You’ve written four books and you’re on your fifth now. What’s the difference
between writing a first novel and writing subsequent novels?

NG: Well, the idea of the “Writing Your First Novel” class, the way I teach it, focuses
on the choices that you need to be aware of when you’re getting started. We spend a
day discussing first person versus third person, which kind of voice is better for the
tone that you want, outlining a plot, which I think is incredibly important, the
themes of your book, and dialogue… So I think there are various issues that are not
so particular to a novel. A novel is like any ambitious project. If you don’t have it all
organized in your thoughts before you get started, what’s going to happen to these
students is what happens to most people- they start and don’t finish. And so, the
ultimate goal of my class is to prepare the students to see their book through to the
end.

CS: Tell me about how you made the decision to leave your job as a lawyer, and to
move to the Cape to begin your first novel.

NG: Being a lawyer was taking 100 percent of my time and I just didn’t feel like it
was 100 percent of me. And there was this burning sense that I had something to
say, that I had this story to tell, even though I wasn’t quite sure what it was at the
time. I’d grown up thinking that if I work really hard and I keep trying, then
everything’s going to have a happy ending. But, after my dad died I suddenly had
this sense that, “My god, every moment is so precious, everyday is so precious.” I
just couldn’t see myself staying a lawyer and never trying this.

Financially there were huge issues, and that’s why I gave myself two years. I said, “If
I haven’t made it as a writer within two years I’m going to have to go back to being a
lawyer.” So it was confined. I admire people who have written manuscript after
manuscript and keep on writing after being rejected. In fact, sometimes I think
those are the real writers because they’re internally driven. They’re not writing for
any sense of commercial success or public acknowledgement. But for me, because I
was giving up so much and I was allowing myself limited time, it was either going to
work or not work, and it was a huge risk.

I think that in this society your career becomes so much of who you are. I remember
when I quit my job, people would ask me what I did for a living, and I would say
“Nothing.” I didn’t say “I’m a writer.” I didn’t know what I was at all because I wasn’t a
lawyer anymore. Those first couple of months were some of the scariest months of
my life. But once I got to school and started meeting other people who were trying
to write and I found a community of people that were trying to do the same thing
that I was, it got easier on a day-to-day basis. But in the end it really wasn’t until I
signed a contract that I felt like I could say I was a writer. Then I felt more
comfortable about who I was.

As for Cape Cod, the reason that I moved down to the Cape was simply that it’s a
much more beautiful place to live and work creatively. My husband was a lawyer up
in Boston so I was going back and forth a lot, but for me to work down here was
such a gift. I was able to get up in the morning and walk my dogs on the beach and
it was a real source of inspiration. It’s perfectly quiet in a way the city never is. It
was really very, very peaceful.

CS: Why specifically did you decide to use Chatham as the setting for your latest
novel?

NS: There was a very deliberate reason for choosing Chatham with the book. Even
though everyone says it’s so scenic I think Chatham is really very wild. When you
walk on the beach and the wind and the salt in your face… I remember just coming
back feeling totally exhilerated. I wanted that kind of natural turmoil for what the
heroine’s experiencing. This is why I choose Chatham for this book specifically. My
other books weren’t set here.

CS: Now that you’ve moved away to New York, did you actually makes trips down to
visit certain locations again or was this mostly drawn from memory?

NG: Mostly drawn from memory.

CS: Really? When did you first move to the Cape?

NG: My husband and I started coming to the Cape together. We sort of ended up
here by accident. He had had a huge case in Singapore and he’d been gone for two
months. And so when he came back I made a reservation at the Chatham Bars Inn
for four days of vacation. We were down here and it was the middle of winter and it
was so beautiful. We were walking around and he said, “Why don’t we just go into a
realtor’s office?” The next thing we knew we were down here every weekend and
Chatham was part of our life . We first bought our house in ‘93, I was here full time
by 1998 and then I moved in 2001. It was very sad to go. I will never forget the day
that we had the closing. My husband and I had separated and he had returned to
Boston. I had this carload of dogs and sort of the last minute stuff that hadn’t been
packed and a brand new baby. I showed up at the closing, and I just… I don’t know,
it was very weird driving off the Cape that day. It felt like I was really saying goodbye
to something. I think there was something about Chatham and the house that we
were in. It’s just a very special, wild place.

I remember, once the furniture had been moved out I had something called a
champagne and Similac [A brand of baby formula] party and invited people over just
to say goodbye. Someone at that party said to me, “You’re never going to live in
such a nice place or in a nice house like this again.” And it’s true. It was a very
special house in a very special place. So I do miss it.

There really is something about driving across the bridge and smelling that salty air
for the first time, and the moment that you roll down the windows.

CS: So you are also beginning your fifth novel right now?

NG: I’ve just started, although it’s kind of interesting because I entered into contract
with my new publisher without them even seeing a proposal. So I’ve been working
on a novel but they haven’t even seen it. I’m going to meet with them in September
and see if they actually want the one that I’m working on or whether we’ll come up
with a new idea.

CS: This one is along the same lines?

NS: As Being Mrs. Alcott. It’s certainly not a sequel, it has a younger heroine and
totally different issues and it’s set in Westchester where I live now but it’s not a
suspense.

CS: So it sounds like it will be interesting to see if you core readers are mystery
readers or Nancy Geary readers.

NG: I’m hoping they’re Nancy Geary readers, though we’ll see.

CS: Can they predict how changing genres like that will effect the book sales?

NG: I don’t think they know. I was at a Book-Span party and a man from Barnes &
Noble, who is a big buyer for them, said, “You know, you’re making a huge mistake
because they won’t know how to shelve you!” On the other hand, the Barnes &
Noble editors picked Being Mrs. Alcott as their favorite read and that was a huge,
huge deal. I figure we’ll see what happens. I think this is the direction I want to go. I
couldn’t be a lawyer when I really wanted to write, ultimately. I just can’t write being
worried about where I’m going to be shelved.

- Nancy Geary Bio -

“I was born in New York City. Other than a year at boarding school when I was
constantly homesick, I was educated in Manhattan and graduated from the Spence
School, an all-girls school on the upper east side. Because my parents were
divorced, I split my summer vacations between Southampton, New York, where my
father had a home, and Manchester, Massachusetts, where my great-grandmother
lived.

I graduated magna cum laude from Brown University in 1987 where I studied
American History and “Law, Ethics and Public Policy.” My honors thesis on AIDS in
the pediatric population won the Minnie Helen Hicks prize. I then went to Harvard
Law School where I represented indigent defendants through the Harvard Defenders
program, taught constitutional law at a nearby public high school, and was a
teaching assistant for an undergraduate ethics course.

After graduating cum laude, I spent four years as an Assistant Attorney General in
the Criminal Bureau of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. I initially did
appellate work, but later prosecuted public corruption, insurance fraud and financial
crimes. I also spent six months in the Lowell District Court as part of the Urban
Violence Strike Force prosecuting primarily drug and domestic violence cases. I had
the chance to work with a wonderful group of assistant district attorneys and
dedicated police officers, including one cop who pursued a fleeing felon on a
tricycle and caught him! As difficult as the work was, the days were exciting. Lowell
District Court is still the scene of my most vivid legal memories, both successes and
failures.

I went into private practice briefly at a large Boston law firm before quitting my legal
career to try to write. I enrolled in several graduate seminars, participated in
workshops on various aspects of writing, wrote lots of short stories and read
constantly. Then one day on a vacation in Turks and Caicos, the idea for Misfortune
came to me. I couldn’t sleep and scribbled notes in a travel guide and on pages of
my day planner. I completed the book about a year and a half later and, in the
process, came to think of Frances Pratt as a real friend. Misfortune was published in
2001,Redemption in 2003, Regrets Only in 2004, and my latest novel, Being Mrs.
Alcott will be released in July 2005.

I live in Westchester County with my son, two Labrador retrievers, and two rabbits in
a house built in 1790. It has crooked floors, uneven walls, and a basement that fills
with water every time it rains, but we love it. I teach creative writing at the Northern
Westchester Center for the Arts and am currently at work on a new novel.”

Time / Diagonal Spreads - Effects of Volatility on the Time Spread

When purchasing a time spread, the investor should pay attention
not only to the movement of the stock price but especially to
the movement of volatility.

Volatility plays a very large roll in the price of a time spread
and, as we have stated, the time spread is an excellent way to
take advantage of anticipated volatility movements in a hedged
fashion.

Since the time spread is composed of two options, the investor
should understand the role of volatility in options as well as
in time spreads. Let’s start with option volatility.

An option’s volatility component is measured by a term called
vega. Vega, one of the components of the pricing model, measures
how much an option’s price will change with a one point (or
tick) change in implied volatility. Based on present data, the
pricing model assigns the vega for each option at different
strikes, different months and different prices of the stock.

Vega is always given in dollars per one tick volatility change.
If an option is worth $1.00 at a 35 implied volatility and it
has a .05 vega, then the option will be worth $1.05 if implied
volatility were to increase to 36 (up one tick) and $.95 if the
implied volatility were to decrease to 34 (down one tick).
Remember, vega is given in dollars per one tick volatility
change.

As we continue to discuss vega, keep these facts in mind

1. Vega measures how much an option price will change as
volatility changes.

2. Vega increases as you look at future months and decreases as
you approach expiration.

3. Vega is highest in the at the money options.

4. Vega is a strike-based number - it applies whether the strike
is a call or a put.

5. Vega increases as volatility increases and decreases as
volatility decreases.

It is important to note that an option’s volatility sensitivity
increases with more time to expiration. That is, further
out-month options have higher vegas than the vegas of the near
term options. The further out you go over time, the higher the
vegas become.

Although increasing, they do not progress in a linear manner.
When you check the same strike price out over future months you
will notice that vega values increase as you move out over
future months.

The at-the-money strike in any month will have the highest vega.
As you move away from the at-the-money strike, in either
direction, the vega values decrease and continue to decrease the
further away you get from the at-the-money strike.

Remember, vega (an option’s volatility component value) is
highest in at-the-money, out-month options. Vega decreases the
closer you get to expiration and the further away you move from
the at-the-money strike. The chart below shows vega values for
QCOM options.

As you look at the chart observe the important elements: the
stock price is constant at 68.5; volatility is constant at 40;
time progresses from June to January; and finally, the strike
price changes from 50 through 80. Notice the increasing pattern
as you go out over time. Also notice how the value decreases as
you move away from the at-the-money strike.

Another important fact about vega is that it is a strike-based
number. That means that the vega number does not differentiate
between put and call. Vega tells the volatility sensitivity of
the strike regardless of whether you are looking at puts or
calls. So, the vega number of a call and its corresponding put
are identical.

Personal Savings Rate and Credit Card Debt in the United States

Have you ever imagined how much of your money is literally going waste as interest payments on credit cards? The average family in the United States is knee-deep in debt with a liability of around $7500 as credit card payments. About $1000 is paid as interest each year by the family to the credit card company. If you include a couple of late payments and over the limit charges, the figure gets embarrassingly high.

Nearly three out of five U.S. households are accountable for the approximately $560 billion in outstanding credit card debt. The total consumer debt including credit card payments and home mortgages are around 6.8 trillion beating the total US national debt, which is around 5.9 trillion. There has been a noticeable decline in the US personal savings rate from 8% in the 1980s to less than zero in present times. There is a colossal increase in credit card debt which has increased by 400 billion dollars in the past decade to an embarrassing figure of $700 billion.

If you have more than one credit card payment to make with a high interest, you can transfer you balance to another credit where you pay zero or less interest. Do this only if you intend to pay the balance in full within the introductory period of the balance transfer. You can also move your balance from a card with a high APR to the one with the low APR. Make sure that you pay the amount in full as you already have to pay less money towards interest.

Make a list of all your credit card debts and the amounts owed on each card every month. Pay off the card with the lowest amount first. Then use that money to pay of the second lowest amount. Alternatively, you can pay off the credit which has the highest rate of interest first and then move down progressively to pay the credit cards with lower rates of interest. This way, you save a lot of money on interest payments.

The best advice, however to get out of your credit card debt and improve your personal savings rate is to stop using your credit cards and use them only in important or emergency occasions. Use the credit card with the lowest interest rate, if you have many credit cards, and put the rest through your shredder. Using the card wisely is the best step to personal money management in a country like the US which dwells in a lifestyle of credit card usage.

Daniel Cohen recommends Find Credit Cards for comparing different Citibank credit card applications.

The United Kingdom Most Exciting Sex Aid Survey for Girls to Experiment with

So sexual toy are on the lips of every chick these days, either nattering on about them in the toilet, at the skating rink or on the telly. But which sexual toy is the nicest, with the vast choice to select from surely a researcher had to find out the best one.

A new adult toy site asked over 1 hundred and 80 ladies in May what their most excellent sexual toy was along with other personal questions.

If you love sex toys you should try out Anal Toys

It was that the most most excellent sexual toy for ladies was the vibrator, and they just liked it! Shoppers were so excited by the idea of a extra huge vibrator that many of them would use it straight after coming home from work. The best kinds of vibrator were the Jessica rabbit vibrators as they help to stimulate the clit hood as well as inserting into the love tunnel.

The 2nd most popular sexual toy was the exciting dildo dong. Dildos are similar to vibrators except they don?t have batteries or vibrate. Dildos come in all shapes and sizes from eleven inches to twelve inches. They can come with sucker cups to have a brilliant experience hands free and can easily attach to a bath or toilet set. Dildos have been a firm fav since the 1970s and looks like they will be around for a long time.

So it was decided that the vibrator was the winner and the dildo came in second place, with some many sex toys out there it was difficult to know which type of vibrator was the most exciting for women to try. The standard vibrator sex toys are battery powered and shaped like a guys penis. Standard vibrator sex toys are shaped just like the proper thing and use batteries for power. Fly to Distant Lands with Your Frequent Flyer Credit Card

Travelers are very familiar with the frequent flyer credit card. It is a credit card that is issued by a card company, in collaboration with a major airline, or issued by the airline itself, to allow a person to avail of the airline’s services, yet pay for it at a later date.

Businessmen are the usual people who avail of this kind of card since they always travel to take care of work related matters in various places and with various clients. So that the frequent flyer credit card would be fully used, the issuing company gives incentives like free travels or free stays at a certain hotel if a cardholder accumulates a certain number of miles. But how can a frequent flyer cardholder get the mileage points quickly?

1) Use hotels and car rentals - airline-specific cards, or flyer cards that are tied to a certain airline, are often also connected to certain hotels and car rental services as a form of advertising and patronage strategy.

If a cardholder checks-in a hotel that is part of the card’s mileage point accumulation scheme, he should put the hotel charges on the credit card. As much as possible, if there is an available car rental service that is tied up with the frequent flyer card, charge the rental fees to the card. These will help the holder rack up a hefty amount of points per travel.

2) Avail of vacation or tour packages - those typical 2-day, 3-night stays at a certain resort, vacation spot, or country help an airline-specific cardholder accumulate more mileage points for his frequent flyer card.

It sure is a great thing to enjoy yourself in an exotic location, eat great food, experience the locality’s culture, and when you get home, be assured that you didn’t just spend money. Your vacation is earning you some points that will give you better and maybe free vacations in the future! Now you have a good reason to keep on traveling and going on vacations.

3) Charge travel related expenses to your frequent flyer card - if you don’t travel that often, or just travel during certain times of the year, it also helps to rack up points by putting your expenses during your travel on the credit card. If you bought some souvenirs, charge it to the card. If the car ran out of gas, just refill the gas tank and pay for it using your credit card. Bought, some groceries, charge it to the credit card. These will help you accumulate mileage points for your frequent flyer card.

4) Travel as often as possible - Most businessmen and executives can avail of the benefits of a frequent flyer credit card since they always travel. Business meetings here, conferences in the next state, branch visits in another state, working out deals overseas, and a lot more help the busy executive rack up mileage points that will soon translate to free plane tickets, or free stays in a hotel, or any other benefits that a frequent flyer card offers to its cardholder.

If you can frequently travel, keep on traveling! Just charge all your plane tickets to your frequent flyer card. This will help you accumulate more than twenty thousand (20,000) miles in a year! Now that’s a sound deal to payoff all the hard work you have done for the company!

So what are you waiting for? If you have the time, money, and reasons to go somewhere via the airplane, book a ticket and start traveling! You’ll be glad you brought out the traveler in you!

Various Toyota Hybrids Get Tax Credit Certification From IRS

Starting in 2006, individuals buying hybrid cars will get a tax credit instead of a tax deduction. The IRS has just started to kick out the exact amounts you can claim for your new hybrid.

Various Toyota Hybrids Get Tax Credit Certification From IRS

Under the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the tax benefits of owning a hybrid vehicle underwent significant changes. Whereas you could previously claim a tax deduction, the new law converted the deduction into a tax credit. Tax credits are FAR more valuable than deductions, because they reduce the amount of tax you owe on a dollar for dollar basis. Tax Deductions, on the other hand, merely reduce your adjusted gross income prior to determining the amount of tax you owe pursuant to the tax tables. In laymen’s terms, this conversion is a very good thing.

Not every hybrid car qualifies for a tax credit. The Internal Revenue Service must first evaluate it and then issue guidance on which cars qualify and the size of the credit you can claim for each. The maximum the IRS can designate per car is $3,400. Here are the numbers it recently kicked out for various Toyota hybrid models.

2005 Toyota Prius: $3150

2006 Toyota Prius: $3150

2006 Toyota Highlander 4WD Hybrid: $2600

2006 Toyota Highlander 2WD Hybrid: $2600

2006 Lexus RX400h 2WD: $2200

2006 Lexus RX400h 4WD: $2200

If you purchased your hybrid car prior to 2006, you are restricted to claiming a tax deduction in the amount previously designated by the IRS, usually $2,000. If you waited until 2006, you can claim the above amounts with a few hitches. First, the amount only applies to the first 60,000 cars sold for each model. If you purchase a hybrid in the 60,0001 to 120,000 sales range, you can claim only half of the tax credit. Sales 120,001 through 180,000 can claim on a quarter of the amount designated above. Exactly how you are supposed to know the sales figures is a bit murky, but Toyota will undoubtedly take steps to make it clear.

Hybrid vehicles make sense from an environmental aspect. Throw in significant savings on gas costs and a large tax credit, and they should fly off the lots.
