Different Uses & Types of Personal Loans

Lending industry in the UK is expanding like anything. More and
more people are taking out loans. Strong economy and rise in
consumerism is making people take out loans and spend more. The
need to take out a loan may arise any time.

Personal loans
offer the most convenient way of raising money. You can
take out a personal loan for any purpose. If you want to buy a
car and you do not have sufficient money for this, you can take
out a personal loan for it. A personal loan can be used to buy a
new or an old car.

You can also take out a personal loan to consolidate your debt.
Debt consolidation becomes a necessity when you are finding it
difficult to meet your debt obligations. A low rate debt
consolidation loan can be used to repay all your high rate
unsecured loans. This will help you to get rid of your debt
obligation.

A personal loan can also be used for home improvement. You need
money for house repairs as well as renovation. Home improvement
includes painting, wall papering, installing heating system and
air conditioning system, adding new bathroom fixtures, building
a new room, etc.

Personal loans can be used for many other purposes such
as to buy a car, to pay for a holiday trip, to pay for college
fees, etc. Personal loans are broadly classified as
secured and unsecured. Secured loans are given against a
security whereas no such security is required in case of
unsecured loans. The rate of interest on secured personal loans
is lower than the rate on unsecured personal loans.

On the basis of mode of repayment, personal loans are
of three types - installment loans, balloon loans and single
payment loans. Installments loans are repaid in the form of
monthly installments. The monthly installments carry both the
principal and the interest elements of a loan amount. In case of
balloon loans, interest is paid at regular intervals and the
principal amount is repaid at the end of the loan period. In
case of single payment loans, the entire principal as well as
its interest is paid at the end of the loan period.

Clients and Potential Clients - When Should We Say, “No?”

As free agents, independent professionals, and freelancers, it is when we don’t have a current project with the income rolling in that we are tempted to say “yes” to almost any offer that comes our way. I suggest that we take our time to consider the pros and cons of all offers and have the gumption to say “no” when it is in our best interest to do so.

Ask yourself, “Is this a project that I will enjoy working on?” Tempting as it may be - especially if the money offer is generous - you should still turn down any project that promises to be a drag or a threat to your artistic integrity. I am not referring to projects that don’t use all of your creative ability - many good, solid projects don’t. I am referring to projects that you would have to force yourself to work on and complete. It wouldn’t be fair to you or your client. I believe that if we aren’t enjoying what we are doing, the work will reflect our attitude.

Next ask yourself, “Is this a project that I’ll be proud to tell others I produced?” Even if you rationalize that you would never add a sample of this work to your portfolio, you will know that you produced it, and just knowing that can eat away at your self esteem.

Now ask yourself, “What will I learn and how will I grow from completing this project?” I don’t know if learning and growing are as important to you as they are to me, but the perfect project in my mind is the one that challenges me in new ways. It pushes me to try new approaches, learn new ways of accomplishing outcomes, and helps me achieve a higher level of expertise than what I had when I began the project. If I can honestly say upon completion of a project that I learned at least one new technique or fact, I am satisfied.

Be honest and ask yourself, “Is this a project that I am capable of doing well, professionally, and within the designated timeline?” I know that I just finished suggesting tackling projects that are challenging and that force us to grow, but we do need to honestly consider the other side of the story. If completing a project will take up so much of your time learning new techniques that you can’t possibly complete it in a timely manner, it is probably better to be up front and say that at this time the work is not within your realm.

And the final, trickiest and hardest question, “Do I want to work with this particular client?” We all know that there are “clients” both good and bad, both easy and difficult. Some are so delighted to work with a professional that they give minimal direction, value our suggestions, give us all of the information we need when we need it, and reimburse us quickly for completed work. There are clients who border on the impossible. I avoid working for these people. I don’t need the stress or the hassle and neither do you.

Remember to take your time accepting when offered a project. Be sure to ask yourself all the questions, and even more than I have highlighted. You will be glad you did, and so will the future of your career as a free agent, independent professional, and freelancer.

UK Secured Loans to Solve Your Bad Credit

Ask anyone: Life has a way of getting the better of us.

Things happen, in spite of our best efforts, and we may suddenly find ourselves with huge bills and a poor credit rating and it all seems to be headed in a downward spiral that we cannot break.
It happens to the best of us and no one intentionally gets into debt. But when you want to get out, what can you do? The answer may surprise you.

When considered as part of your overall financial picture, a UK personal loan may be an ideal option to help you eliminate debt. What’s that, you say, another loan to help end debt? It’s true. Adding a loan to your financial portfolio may be exactly the remedy you need to get control of your financial future.

A UK bad credit loan can be obtained in a variety of amounts and interest rates and with many repayment options. The choice is yours to make, so you can find one that is appropriate to your needs. And, if you have any assets to guarantee your loan, you’ll find that getting a secure loan will help get you even better rates than an unsecured loan!

So how does getting new debt help you get out of your current debt? It’s simple. A UK bad credit loan can consolidate your credit cards, your outstanding utility bills, your line of credits, and your other loans into one large loan. Once you have accumulated all of your debts and put them under one umbrella, you will find two things.

First, you’ll notice that you may be able to get a lower interest rate. When you average out the interest rates you’re paying on all of your debts right now, you’ll be absolutely shocked at how much extra money you’re paying. In fact, you could potentially be paying half again as much as the initial purchase simply in interest payments! But with a UK bad credit loan you’ll be able to cut that interest rate down simply because you’re paying on a larger amount of loan.

Second, instead of getting several bills of varying amounts through the month, you’ll receive one bill at the same time each month. This is ideal for you to help you budget your income.

And here’s a bonus strategy. If you discover (and most people do) that their new, consolidated monthly loan payment ends up being cheaper than their original mass of debt payments, they will have extra money to spend. And if you take some of that extra money and put it toward the principal, you’ll pay down your debts that much faster.

A lower payment, reduced debt, a budget, and a better credit rating? It can’t get much better than that. So maybe you should also use a little of the money you have left over to treat yourself to something nice. After all, you deserve it!

Can a Home Internet Business really make upwards of $50,000 a month?

I can tell you that my online business isn’t even making $10,000
a month (yet) but I’ve only been going a year and going well!

Judging from the way my internet entrepreneurial sense and
knowledge has developed since I started out as a raw online
marketer, my online endeavors should be bringing in no less than
$25,000 by the end of the year.

Therefore, the answer is a resounding YES - it is definitely
possible to earn in excess of $50,000 per month from a home
online business.

Unfortunately, for you and me, we are not all blessed with the
internet marketing brain of a Corey Rudl who I’m sure would have
agreed with this assessment - read the full Corey Rudl interview
here - http://www.internetbusiness.co.za/corey-rudl-interview.php

So, is there hope for us mere mortals?

Well the good news is that we have as good a chance of making it
big in our own internet businesses as the next guy.

However, despite most of us not having been blessed with
supernatural internet marketing skills, as I mentioned above,
there is a lot of hope for us.

There is one trait, though that you will need to achieve online
success and that is the ability to learn, copy and implement (or
is that 3 traits?).

What this means is that, for you and I, we shouldn’t try and
re-invent the wheel but rather learn from the masters like Corey
Rudl who started his internet endeavors in 1994 and built a
multi-million dollar internet empire.

Emulating the proven methods and strategies will save you a lot
of time as well as keep you from becoming demoralized and
eventually quitting.

So, even though it’s a safe bet to say that upwards of $50,000 a
month can be generated form a home internet business, my bet is
that many, many internet entrepreneurs are battling along making
a paltry few dollars, month in and month out.

Therefore, I urge you not to fall into the trap of eking out a
few dollars a day and thinking that tomorrow is the day you will
hit the jackpot.

Well the reality is that it will never happen unless your
business has been professionally researched, designed and
structured to attack and capture your target market.

There are so many facets that go into making an online venture
successful that it would be difficult for the inexperienced
internet entrepreneur to get it right in the short term.

For instance the product you sell has to be of a high quality,
competitively priced and in demand by a large enough market.

Then your website design needs to portray professionalism, it
needs to be optimized for search engines and the content needs
to be innovative sales copy.

Also, it is very important for your online business to be fully
automated not only to give it credibility but also to relieve
you of mundane tasks of e-mailing your list which is a vital
component in itself.

Not only do the above all contribute to the overall success of
the online business, but should one be lacking or below par the
success of the business will be severely compromised.

Therefore if you are serious about making $50,000 a month, don’t
mess about with hopeless schemes and promises, tap into the
minds of the true internet gurus for real online success.

Does a Child See What You See?

Joey Knight was puzzled. What did his parents mean by color?
Green shirt, red shirt, brown shirt, gray shirt. Huh? They all
looked pretty much the same to him. He figured his parents were
just smarter than he was.

Approximately 1:12 males and 1:200 females has some degree of
color vision deficiency or colorblindness.

Pre-school books, puzzles, games and other toys are colored
intensely enough that most children can tell the colors apart,
although they may not look the same to the child with CVD as
they do to most people. However, two percent of the male
population (and a rare female) cannot see red or green at all,
and they confuse other colors as well. These children may not
catch on easily to pre-school games that are based on color.
They may also resist playing with puzzles that rely as much on
color as on shape. They may not be as enthralled with crayons as
are most children. They’d just as soon draw with a fat pencil.
They may not see optical illusions that are easy for other
children to see. These children who are severely affected by CVD
see all the reds, oranges, yellows and greens as one color and
all the blues, violets and purples as another.

Children who are mildly or moderately affected with CVD may have
difficulty matching light shades of colors, especially red (or
pink) and green. They often confuse these colors with other
colors, such as gray or tan. Those who see red faintly confuse
blue and purple because they don’t recognize the red in purple.

>From everyday conversation children learn that “grass is green,”
“the sky is blue,” etc. To help children with CVD learn color
names (but not always recognize the color itself), parents can
label objects in their homes, like a picture of a “Bear” for a
brown couch or a “Fire Engine” for red drapes, or a “Sun” for a
yellow wall (although most children with CVD recognize yellow).
Parents can also teach their youngsters the first letter of
color names printed on crayons so the children can identify them
more easily. They can also encourage pre-school teachers to
reinforce this teaching-learning process in the classroom.

It’s important — for children with and without CVD — not to
point out “mistakes” or to chide children for not naming colors
“correctly.” Some children — and adults — simply don’t see as
many colors as other people do. Also, it’s better for parents to
say, “I like that green shirt” rather than ask, “What color is
your shirt?”

A mother with a preschooler who had a moderate CVD said her
husband had become extremely frustrated with their son because
he had tried to teach the boy color names. No wonder the boy
couldn’t learn color names. Some colors, especially lighter
shades, looked identical to him. Another mother with a son with
CVD said she thought her son had a language problem. “I thought
he wasn’t understanding the words,” she said, when he couldn’t
tell color names.

CVD is known as a sex-linked recessive disorder. It is carried
on the X chromosome. A male has an X and a Y chromosome, and a
female has two X chromosomes. When a male inherits an affected
X, he will have CVD because, unlike a female, he doesn’t have an
unaffected X to dominate the affected X. Because a male always
passes his Y chromosome to his sons, he does not pass CVD to his
sons; he does, however, pass his X to his daughters who are then
“carriers.” A carrier typically doesn’t show symptoms of CVD,
but has a 50 percent chance of passing her affected X on to each
of her children. The females who inherit the X will, like their
mothers, be carriers; the males who inherit the affected X will,
like their maternal grandfathers, have CVD.

If you have a concern about your child’s color vision, consult
an eye care specialist. Specialists generally have color vision
tests for pre-school children. Your local school nurse can
usually test children as young as four easily and quickly using
special books that utilize an affected person’s confusion of red
and green with gray.

Best of all, a child need not realize that he “failed” the test.
He can simply be told how well he did. Parents can speak with
the examiner beforehand to be sure this happens. “Your eyes are
fine. You just don’t see as many colors as most people,” is one
explanation. The child can be told he’s like his (maternal)
Grandpa or perhaps a (maternal) uncle. Usually, the type of the
CVD as well as its degree — whether it’s mild, moderate or
severe — runs in families. The child observes that the older
family member has coped well with his CVD. There’s no need in
the pre-school years to delve into occupations that require
accurate color vision.

The child with a severe CVD might realize that in some instances
he can actually “see” things that others have difficulty seeing.
For instance, some animals are camouflaged — chameleons, for
instance. Their color changes according to their surroundings. A
child with typical color vision might not see a chameleon as
readily as a child with severely reduced color vision. A child
with severe CVD is not confused by color and pays more attention
to form, shape and movement.

A delightful book that explores feelings associated with colors
is Mary Le Duc’s Hailstones and Halibut Bones. This book can be
enjoyed by parents and children regardless of their color
vision.

A Novel Free-For All Traffic Generation Idea

Almost anyone who has tried submitting to free-for-all sites will say that they are no longer worth the effort as a traffic generating tool.
Automated FFA submissions to “millions” of sites are also not that useful as most of these sites are only ever “visited” by automated submission scripts and not by human eyes. The only thing these auto submission tools achieve is to get your e-mail address bombarded with “confirmation” e-mail from the FFA page owners.

Many unsuspecting users who submitted their personal e-mail address to these submission tools have suffered incredible frustrations because of the “spam” they receive. (Technically they are confirmatory e-mail that the submitters agreed to receive.)

However. one previous “victim” of confirmatory “spam” managed to turn the tables around with a very ingenious twist to the process.

He basically submitted his web site using the FFA auto submission tools and agreed to get the “millions” of confirmatory email…but submitted an e-mail address that led to an autoresponder that replied back to these emails with a “thank you for your offer which I’m considering…please have a look at my web site in the meantime” type e-mail.

Incidentally, Outlook Express also has message rule function which we can use to achieve a similar effect. Simply click on “tools”, “message rules”, “mail”, “mail rules”, “new”, “where the message is from the specified account”(the e-mail account you intend to receive confirmatory “spam” with), and “reply with message”, then specify the message you want to reply with.

Don’t forget to also freely distribute your e-mail address to multiple mailing lists, classified ads sites, and anywhere that is likely to get your address “spammed” The best part is when “spambots”, and bulk e-mail address harvesters etc. pick up your e-mail address and it gets included in those “e-mail 100000 prospects for $49.95″ offers, you’ll be promoting your site to many people with absolutely no effort on your part at all!

Have fun with this one.

Ski Accommodation In Apartments And Chalets In France - Some Good Advice

The cost of skiing isn’t coming down, and more and more people are opting for a do-it-yourself ski holiday in self catered chalets and skiing apartments. There are of course large tour operators offering discount ski apartments with flights at some crazy prices too; these are usually at the lower end of the market, and can be really useful where budgeting is imperative. If it’s a last minute decision where the resort and quality are not important, these cut price ski holidays can be an attractive option.

France is currently the most popular ski destination for UK skiers, followed closely by Canada and the US. British skiers find that the flexibility of self service ski accommodation in apartments and chalets has a lot to offer because it gives the independence not available from tour operators. With carriers selling cheap ski flights like EasyJet and Bmibaby and fast internet access, it is now possible to organise, book and pay for travel and ski accommodation in a matter of minutes all on your own.

There are two types of ski accommodation - the apartment and the chalet. In France the apartments are often referred to as ‘boxes’. For the most part that’s what they are - piled one on top of the other into vast brutal concrete apartment blocks. Some may have had some wood slapped on the side as a minimal concession. They may be ugly, but they have their advantages.

At the budget end this type of ski accommodation can be cheap! The blocks are usually on the piste and right next to the skiing so there is no walking, and the facilities such as restaurants, supermarkets, bars and shops are close by. They are purely functional with little or no aesthetic considerations. The minimum they provide could just be a bed, a tv, a bathroom, a small kitchenette, a sofa and a table and chairs.

The quality end is comparative luxury. Companies such as MGM now have a reputation for building ski accommodation in more attractive buildings and converting town houses into flats where you can at least swing a cat. Chamonix is a perfect example; because the town has historic and architectural importance attached to it, there are some wonderful buildings that have been converted with taste and flair.

You can also choose from a vast selection of private chalets throughout the Alps as self catered chalet options. These will vary in quality but as they may be people’s second homes they can be more roomy and comfortable, and built attractively in the traditional style. As a rule expect them to lie in outlying villages, although sometimes they will be centrally located next to the piste.

Ski apartments and chalets will have any number of beds from two bed ’studios’ to twelve bed ‘duplexes’ and more. For medium quality expect to pay between £100 and £250 per person depending on season and location. Because competition is strong, you nearly always get value for money.

You will also have to pay a returnable deposit for breakages. Bed linen and towels will not usually be supplied in ski accommodation but can be rented by the agent for a reasonable fee. There will be an inventory before you leave and you’ll be expected to leave the place clean and tidy!

Simon Dewhurst has has been involved in many aspects of the ski business for 35 years, including teaching downhill and cross country skiing, club racing, speed skiing and running chalet holidays in the French Alps. He has also written a book “Secrets of Better Skiing”. His website can be found at http://www.ski-jungle.com
