Great Arborvitae - Evergreens for Doylestown Borough

Emerald Green Arborvitae are easy to grow in Doylestown Borough
Pa. This article will help you understand this landscape plant.

Arborvitae have masses of small fiberous roots which allows them
to transplant at most times of the year. The Emerald Green has
the best year round color, but is narrow in form. In real dry
years this plant does not survive as well as the more open arbs
such as the American, Techny, Nigra, and Elegantissma. This
variety, because its foliage is more dense than other varieties,
is less tolerant than more open cultivars. In an urban area with
deer problems, this variety will be consumed before the next
season. We have in stock and ready to pickup these arbs from
seedlings (6-10″) to 6-8′ trees. Emerald Green arbs are easy to
plant but afew tips will help your success. When planting,
remember that the symptoms of overwatering are identical to
underwatering. More trees, shrubs, and houseplants are killed
from overwatering than all other problems combined. Water
thoroughly upon planting then water thereafter as needed
depending on soil and environmental conditions. At no time
should the planting zone be kept soggy. Feel the soil with your
finger to test it. It should be moist not spongy wet. The plant
should be dried to the point of dampness to the touch before a
complete re watering. This regime should be carried out at least
through the first few months. Soil moisture should be monitored
closely for the next two years with corrective action taken as
needed. Fertilizer spikes should never be used. You can tell
when the arbs are happy with their new location by looking at
the interface of the root ball and the new location. New
fiberous roots should appear within weeks of planting. You can

Wayne Rooney The Superstar

Are you a football supporter? Do you support England? Are you looking forward to the football World Cup? These are three questions which I would have answered a big yes to and I am very happy to learn that Wayne Rooney looks likely to be fit to play some part in the Fifa World Cup tournament. He could prove to be the man that helps bring glory to our proud footballing nation.

The hype around the foot injury of Wayne Rooney has been absolutely massive and has been possibly way over the top. I would have much preferred more focus to have been placed on some of our other better players such as David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Joe Cole and Michael Owen. In saying that, in a way it could have been a blessing in disguise as the players mentioned and the other members of the squad, have had quite a lot of the attention taken away from them.

I remember first watching Wayne Rooney play live, when I went to support my favourite team Birmingham City play at St Andrews. Wayne at that point was probably only seventeen and was playing for Everton. I had heard that he was supposed to be a great talent and had watched him play on the television on a number of occasions.

Throughout the match he looked very lively and dangerous but ended up getting himself sent off, after an over the top challenge on the Birmingham goalkeeper. I will never forget the Birmingham City fans singing to torment the Everton supporters with, where’s your Wayne gone, where’s your Wayne gone? Imagine it being sang etc.

Over the next few months Rooney became better and better and eventually was sold in a dream move for him, to Manchester United. He has continued his form and improvement and has since been a major part of the England football team. In my opinion, he is one of, if not the best, footballers in the world.

Chelsea, who of course seem to have a never ending supply of money, would no doubt love to sign Rooney. I wonder how much it would cost them to persuade Alex Ferguson and Manchester United to part with their prize asset. They say every man has a price, I would think that they would need around the one hundred million pounds mark, quite a scary thought.

Wayne is still so young and I hope he can remain injury free as it is going to be very exciting to see how good he can become. He is already a superstar but I believe he could be one of the best players who has ever played the game.

If The Women’s Dress Shoe Fits, Buy It!

In this age of enlightenment, how come we still call them women’s dress shoes?

Sure, most of the time we wear our women’s dress shoes with a dress, but more often than not we also wear them with our tailored trousers, business suits and jeans. But we don’t call them “tailored trousers shoes” do we?

And how come we’re still wearing those four-inch stiletto heels, when we know how hard it is to stay out of the cracks in the pavement, even in our flats?

Don’t you think we might have learned a lesson by now? The. . . damn. . . things. . . hurt. And they also damage our spine, calf muscles, cause bunions and other equally gross malformations of our feet.

But if Sex and the City taught us anything about the ways of the world in the 21st century, it was that Carrie looked smashing in her Manolo’s as she ran, yes, ran, down Park Avenue to meet whichever gorgeous hunk she was schtupping at the time. The moral of the story being “Yes girls, your designer dress shoes will always get you your man!”

So here are my not-so-serious tips on how to have a wardrobe full of fabulous women’s dress shoes:

Make the shoe salesperson your “new best friend”. He or she is going to be part of a very, very special relationship - you and your new dress shoes.

Forget comfort when you’ve got class! Look at those things! Don’t you just have to have them? Regardless of the fact that they feel like you’ve got metal clamps on your toes? Anyway, you can always sit down somewhere after an hour or so, well, can’t you?

Remember cost does not equal comfort when shopping for designer dress shoes. If they cost two months’ salary, they’re worth every bit of the pain.

When trying on your dress shoes, check how you look from every angle - sitting, standing, lying face down or up — yes, you’ll need to know how you look when you’re flat on your back after falling off your 4 inch spikes.

Far be it from me to postulate on learning nothing from our forefathers (oops, I mean mothers!), but as long as Mr Blahnik, and Jimmy Choo, and assorted other grand masters of shoe design keep making designer women’s dress shoes (there’s that phrase again) that are simply to-die-for, well, bunions be damned, I’ll die for them!

How To Finance Your Own Savings Plan

We all have become aware that the prices at the gas pump are driving the cost of living up. While some are saying things are looking up, it seems most of us do not see things in the same light. One thing that we need, for these times, is a savings plan. This article will give you some ideas on how to finance it.

Examine Your Current Expenditures

When we do this, we need to take the attitude we all wish Congress had - to cut a lot of wasted spending. Ask yourself, what do you really need and what can you do without? Oftentimes, simply by stopping the gaps can often create more money. Accountability does wonders. It is when we do not watch our own accountability that funny things happen - it magically disappears and we wonder where it went. By removing further unnecessary purchases, you can begin to finance other projects.

Reduce Credit Card Debt

Another way to create finance for savings is by looking at your credit cards. Credit cards are really a great convenience. Things can be charged without carrying cash - offline, or online. But the funny thing about that is that every month - without fail, a piece of paper comes in the mail asking for payment. Because we are given the option, many decide to pay a little now, and the rest can wait. But the higher interest on a credit card means that you need to be free from that debt as quickly as possible. An easy way to do this (if you have good credit), would be to get a 0% APR credit card that allows balance transfers at 0% APR, and will last at least a year. Then consolidate your credit card debt onto one low interest (or, no interest) card - if possible, and cancel the other cards - leave one. But there is one more necessary step - take the money saved and use it to finance the paying off of the credit card debt, and put some into savings.

Sell Off Those Unused Items

Creating your own finance “company” may mean doing other things to clear your unwanted debt. Gather up those items that have some value and sell them on Ebay, or in a garage sale. But decide first, that the money gained is to go toward payment on some debt. You might even have a boat on the property you have not used for awhile, or, an extra car that you could sell to help you finance even more debt-relieving money.

Consider A Second Mortgage, Or Refinancing The Mortgage

After the above things are done, another way to create more savings could be to refinance your mortgage, or to get a second mortgage. If other debt is high, then it is possible that a second mortgage may enable you to consolidate your bills into a lower interest loan. Of course, this would need to be investigated further, but a mortgage company or bank would be more than glad to help you find a suitable solution. Much information and comparison prices can also be found online - as well as some advice on how to get the best loan for you.

Finally, how much you save is entirely up to you. These tips can help you if applied - but it all starts with wanting to create our own finance “company.” Start today in creating a difference for yourself by eliminating unnecessary expenditures and putting some away into savings.

Credit Card Processing - Benefits Of Accepting Online Payments

Advantages of Online Credit Card Processing

If you own an online business and don’t already accept credit card payments you should consider doing so immediately. Nowadays upwards of 80% of consumers use credit cards to pay for products and services online. If you don’t accept credit card payments regardless of how small your business is, you risk losing customers and profits.

Credit cards are often preferred by customers because they are safe, secure and easy to use. Many people rely on credit to buy gifts and business items. Some customers will walk away from a website and not even look at the products and services if they know that credit card payments are not accepted. For that reason alone it is very important you consider credit card payments. Here are just a few of the benefits credit card processing has to offer:

You provide your customers with a secure and easy to use online method of payment.

Your customer’s purchase is guaranteed and protected by the credit card company.

Reading & Writing English: Words Ending In “D”

The different sounds that the letter”d” takes at the end of a
verb in the past tense

An extract from the book: Word Power by the author of this
article.

The English language indicates that the action of the verb is in
the past by having some form of the “d” or “t” sound end the
word. We say some kind of “d” or “t” sound although the word is
almost always written with a “d”.

Many people who learn English are so confused by the irregular
forms of the verbs that they give up and invent their own ways
of referring to the past. Some say: “Yesterday I walk to work”
or other ways to avoid using the past tense that they have never
learned.

Sure, there are irregular words in English. The past of teach is
taught; the past of buy is bought; the past of think is thought.
But even these irregular words end in some kind of a “t” sound
to indicate that the verb refers to the past. Luckily, there
aren’t too many of these irregular verbs. You just have to learn
them. The good thing is that they behave more or less the same
way.

But let’s look at the regular verbs. Most English verbs are
regular. To indicate the past, they put some kind of a sound
made with the tongue touching the back of the upper teeth.
Almost always it is the sound of a “d” or of a “t”.

The ending of the verb “love” in the past: “I loved the movie”
is very different from the ending of the verb “walk”: “I walked
to work.” When it sounds like the letter “d”, it is a voiced
sound, that is the vocal cords vibrate. When it sounds like a
“t”, it is a voiceless or an unvoiced sound.

But how do you know when it should end with a voiced “d” sound
and when with a voiceless “t” sound? Although you may not
believe it, there is a “rule” that will help you to form the
past of most English verbs. You may still make some mistakes but
little by little you will feel the mistakes and will correct
them. The structure of your mouth will force you to make the
right sound.

The “rule” for the formation of the past is similar to the
“rule” for the “s” at the end of plural nouns and verbs in the
third person singlular of the present tense. The rule of the “d”
in three parts:

There is a one simple “rule” that covers the pronunciation of
the “d” and “t” sounds.

The sound that indicates the past of the verb is the voiceless
“t” sound when the verb ends in a voiceless consonant. On the
other hand, the indication of the past is the voiced “d” sound
when the verb ends in a voiced consonant.

The three parts of the rule are:

1. the voiceless “t” sound, 2. the voiced “d” sound, 3. the
added syllable.

1. The voiceless (unvoiced) “t”:

The “rule” tells us when the last sound of a verb is is like
that of the words talk, cap, mess, etc (that is, a voiceless
sound), the past of the verb ends with a voiceless (or unvoiced)
sound like that of the word walked. The past of these verbs is
talked, capped, messed and the “d” is unvoiced.

For example the letter “d” that represents the past in the
written word is pronounced like the “t” of Tom (a voiceless
sound) when the verb ends in a voiceless sound. So when the verb
ends in voiceless sounds such as the letters k in the word
looked, p in the word stopped, f in the word cuffed (or gh in
the word laughed) the past is indicated by the voiceless “t”
sound. This always happens so don’t be fooled by the written
letter “d”.

The past tense of the verb is also indicated by a voiceless
sound when the verb ends in any “hissing” sound such as the
words: face, wash, crunch. All these sounds are voiceless so the
verbs that end with them will always have the “d” of their past
form sounded voicelessly and therefore become the forms faced,
washed, crunched.

It is important to note that although the voiceless “d” is
written “ed”, you do NOT add a syllable to the original word.

2. The voiced “d”:

The “d” is voiced in two situations:

a. when the word ends in a vowel sound such as, played, teed,
owed, cued.

The “strange” vowels are also followed by a voiced “d” such as
in the words: furred, papered, pawed. The past of verbs ending
in a diphthong sound also end in a voiced “d” sound, for example
in the words: plowed, paid, toyed .

b. when the word ends in a voiced consonant.

Some examples of the second case are: b as in the word robbed, n
in the word drowned, l in the word mailed, g in the word logged,
v in the word heaved, m n the word farmed, n as in the word
panned, thesoundof the letters ng as in the word ring, r as in
the word cars, v as in the word stoves, and thin the word
bathed.

Remember that that the voiced “d” sound forms the past of verbs
that end in a voiced consonant, for example, burned is the past
of the verb burn and lovedis the past of love.

It is important to note that although the voiced “d” in these
words is written with “ed”, you do NOT add an extra syllable.

3. The added syllable

In both cases, when the verb ends in either the sound of the
voiced “d” or the sound of the voiceless “t”, the English
language adds a syllable to the verb.

For example, the verbs in the present tense visit, vote, side,
need, plant, adopt, add “ed” to make the past tense and become
visited, voted, sided, needed, planted, adopted.

The “ed” is pronounced with a special vowel followed by a voiced
“d”. The special vowel is the “short i” which has the IPA symbol
of the small capital “i”. We treat this sound in the book in the
chapter on the short vowels. Remember a ship is not a sheep. You
have to be able to hear the difference to be able to use this
vowel in the added syllable.

It is only in this special case that you pronounce the second
syllable of the past of a verb. Not all verbs have two syllables
in the past. It is important that you realize that most common
English verbs have only one syllable. Do not think that you have
to pronounce the “ed” of the words such as walked, talked,
played, tuned, tooled. Do not read these words as they were
written in your language.

Although many verbs have “ed” in their past, it is just a
strange note of English spelling. You often only pronounce one
syllable with the past indicated by a voiced “d” or an unvoiced
“t” according to which sound preceded the ending.

You only pronounce the “ed” when the root form of the verb ends
with your tongue touching the back of your teeth, either with a
voiced “d” sound or with an unvoiced “t” sound. For example,
“Today, I heat the coffee but yesterday I heated it” (2
syllables because the last consonant is a “t”). But, “Today I
talk to my friend but yesterday I talked on the phone.” (one
syllable because the last consonant is not a “t” or a “d”)

The extra syllable: Listen to this as often as necessary for you
to be able to distinguish the unvoiced “t” from the voiced “d”.

Review and practice all parts of the “RULE”! The first part of
the “rule”: the voiceless “t”; The second part of the “rule”:
the voiced “d” : The third part of the “rule”: the added
syllable

“We Don’t Know What We Are Talking About” - Nobel Laureate David Gross

Science has reached an enormous impasse. From biology to
physics, astronomy to genetics, the scientific community is
reaching the limits of understanding which often presage a
complete rethinking of long-accepted theories. So characteristic
of this new apex of modern arrogance is the inability to
comprehend the obvious in physics: That we don’t know what we
are talking about.

Last December (’05), physicists held the 23rd Solvay Conference
in Brussels, Belgium. Amongst the many topics covered in the
conference was the subject matter of string theory. This theory
combines the apparently irreconcilable domains of quantum
physics and relativity. David Gross a Nobel Laureate made some
startling statements about the state of physics including: “We
don’t know what we are talking about” whilst referring to string
theory as well as “The state of physics today is like it was
when we were mystified by radioactivity.”

The Nobel Laureate is a heavyweight in this field having earned
a prize for work on the strong nuclear force and he indicated
that what is happening today is very similar to what happened at
the 1911 Solvay meeting. Back then, radioactivity had recently
been discovered and mass energy conservation was under assault
because of its discovery. Quantum theory would be needed to
solve these problems. Gross further commented that in 1911 “They
were missing something absolutely fundamental,” as well as “we
are missing perhaps something as profound as they were back
then.”

Coming from a scientist with establishment credentials this is a
damning statement about the state of current theoretical models
and most notably string theory. This theoretical model is a
means by which physicists replace the more commonly known
particles of particle physics with one dimensional objects which
are known as strings. These bizarre objects were first detected
in 1968 through the insight and work of Gabriele Veneziano who
was trying to comprehend the strong nuclear force.

Whilst meditating on the strong nuclear force Veneziano detected
a similarity between the Euler Beta Function, named for the
famed mathematician Leonhard Euler, and the strong force.
Applying the aforementioned Beta Function to the strong force he
was able to validate a direct correlation between the two.
Interestingly enough, no one knew why Euler’s Beta worked so
well in mapping the strong nuclear force data. A proposed
solution to this dilemma would follow a few years later.

Almost two years later (1970), the scientists Nambu, Nielsen and
Susskind provided a mathematical description which described the
physical phenomena of why Euler’s Beta served as a graphical
outline for the strong nuclear force. By modeling the strong
nuclear forces as one dimensional strings they were able to show
why it all seemed to work so well. However, several troubling
inconsistencies were immediately seen on the horizon. The new
theory had attached to it many implications that were in direct
violation of empirical analyses. In other words, routine
experimentation did not back up the new theory.

Needless to say, physicists romantic fascination with string
theory ended almost as fast as it had begun only to be
resuscitated a few years later by another ‘discovery.’ The
worker of the miraculous salvation of the sweet dreams of modern
physicists was known as the graviton. This elementary particle
allegedly communicates gravitational forces throughout the
universe.

The graviton is of course a ‘hypothetical’ particle that appears
in what are known as quantum gravity systems. Unfortunately, the
graviton has never ever been detected; it is as previously
indicated a ‘mythical’ particle that fills the mind of the
theorist with dreams of golden Nobel Prizes and perhaps his or
her name on the periodic table of elements.

But back to the historical record. In 1974, the scientists
Schwarz, Scherk and Yoneya reexamined strings so that the
textures or patterns of strings and their associated vibrational
properties were connected to the aforementioned ‘graviton.’ As a
result of these investigations was born what is now called
‘bosonic string theory’ which is the ‘in vogue’ version of this
theory. Having both open and closed strings as well as many new
important problems which gave rise to unforeseen instabilities.

These problematical instabilities leading to many new
difficulties which render the previous thinking as confused as
we were when we started this discussion. Of course this all
started from undetectable gravitons which arise from other
theories equally untenable and inexplicable and so on. Thus was
born string theory which was hoped would provide a complete
picture of the basic fundamental principles of the universe.

Scientists had believed that once the shortcomings of particle
physics had been left behind by the adoption of the exotic
string theory, that a grand unified theory of everything would
be an easily ascertainable goal. However, what they could not
anticipate is that the theory that they hoped would produce a
theory of everything would leave them more confused and
frustrated than they were before they departed from particle
physics.

The end result of string theory is that we know less and less
and are becoming more and more confused. Of course, the argument
could be made that further investigations will yield more
relevant data whereby we will tweak the model to an eventual
perfecting of our understanding of it. Or perhaps ‘We don’t know
what we are talking about.’

Creating Good Pay-per-Click Ad Copy

Creating Good Pay-per-Click Ad Copy

by David L. Felts

Your goal in pay-per-click marketing is not to drive clicks, but to drive qualified clicks. There’s a big difference between the two. In this article, I’m going to talk about some strategies you can use to send a message a that can enhance the likelihood of a qualified click.

Free Shipping

Free shipping is a good promotion that can get fence-sitters to buy. The concern can be that if the marketplace is rife with free shipping promotions and you don’t have one, you’re going to lose out. Another concern is if you have a free shipping promotion too often, consumers might wait until your next one to buy. If a dollar amount is required to qualify for free shipping, and especially if that dollar amount is considerably higher than the average order, be sure to give that info up front. Free shipping on $50 doesn’t mean as much to someone shopping for CDs as free shipping on $150 sounds to someone shopping for a new DVD player. Free shipping works really well around the holidays.

Follow the Supply Chain

Think about associated items your customer might also be interested and that fit naturally with your primary message. For example, if your ad is for running shoes it might also be worth mentioning that you also have running socks and apparel, because someone buying new running shoes might also be interested in other running related items. Let them know you have a full stock of related merchandise.

Be Specific - Tell the Consumer what you want Him or Her to Do

If you’re trying to drive leads by getting clicker to complete a form, say so. “Register today for…”, “Sign up for….” tell the clicker what he or she is going to have to do when they get there. This will have the advantage of discouraging clicks from people who aren’t going to want to fill out your form.

Promotions and Specials

Very similar to Free Shipping. If you have one, mention it, but be clear. “10% off $100″, “Buy 2 get 1 free”. Keep you average order value in mind.

Leverage your Brand

If your company has some brand recognition, use it. “Official JoeWidget Site”. This can work especially well if other people are permitted to resell your products and are bidding on you brand terms as well, which brings me too the other part of leveraging your brand: don’t let other people use it. If you’re a manufacturer and sell wholesale, then resellers have the right to use your brand. But if your name is JoeWidget, and no one else is permitted to sell JoeWidget widgets, use that to your advantage and make sure no one else is using your name. Both Google and Yahoo Search Marketing will take down trademark infringers if you inform them it’s going on.

Be Honest

Above all, don’t try to trick the consumer. Don’t bring them in on a false message or do the old bait and switch. Give the consumer an honest message, fulfill their expectations, and they’ll remember that the next time they’re shopping and they see your ad again.

Your Health and Your Weight

Healthy Living Through The Ages! Like a good friend, a good
attitude towards fitness and nutrition doesn’t abandon us as we
age. It matures right along with us, evolving as our lives
change.

That means we don’t have to give up the activities or the foods
we love based on the number of birthdays we’ve celebrated.

“Research suggests that half the drop in function assumed to be
linked to aging is now thought to be related to inactivity,”
says Elizabeth Ready, an exercise physiologist and associate
dean of education and recreation at the University of Manitoba
in Winnipeg. So healthy, active women can continue to pursue
challenging physical activity even into old age. Still, a
certain amount of common sense is in order. What was demanding
and fulfilling in our 20s, for example may be too time-consuming
in our 30s and 40s, too extreme in our 50s and just downright
foolish in our 60s. Our nutritional needs also evolve as we age,
says Rosie Schwartz, a registered dietician/nutritionist in
Toronto. “What is considered a healthy diet for a 25- year-old
woman in her peak reproductive years will be different than that
of a 60-year-old at increased risk of osteoporosis and heart
disease.” And women of all ages need to ensure that they’re
getting enough of the female-friendly nutrients — calcium,
folate, iron and zinc — that are essential for maintaining a
woman’s health throughout her life. Read on to discover how
tweaking your fitness and nutritional goals can keep you looking
good and feeling great at any age! Health Concerns: This is the
time to establish healthy lifestyle habits that will help
prevent heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other diseases
later in life, says “Dr. Miriam Kaufman, a specialist in
adolescent health at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Proper nutrition, exercise and sleep are also the first steps in
managing stress and anxiety. This is a time of life, too, when
mental health can be at risk — major depression, bipolar
disorder, schizophrenia and substance-abuse disorders have their
onset at this age. Kaufman recommends that even the healthiest
young person visit a family doctor once a year. Fitness Goals:
Our bodies are in peak form in our 20s, so now is the time to
expand aerobic capacity and sample some new sports. Since you’re
less likely to have financial constraints, children and a
mortgage in your 20s, you may want to indulge in active
vacations and invest in good-quality sports equipment. Suggested
Activities: Team sports or rugged individual pursuits such as
rock climbing and mountain biking, as well as high-impact
activities such as jogging and aerobics, will help build strong
bones for the future. Nutritional Goals: No matter how energetic
you are, late nights and skipped meals can take their toll and
nutritional shortfalls each up with you, says Schwartz. Make
sure you’re getting enough iron - 18 milligrams per day — since
too little can lead to iron deficiency anemia, the most common
nutritional deficiency in Canadian women. As well, health
experts recommend that all women of child-bearing age take 0.4
milligrams of folic acid (folate) daily at least three months
before conception to help reduce the chances of birth defects
such as spina bifida. Studies have shown that folate may also
help reduce the risk of heart disease and cervical cancer.
Maintaining a healthy weight also safeguards your ability to
conceive, since being too heavy or too thin interferes with
ovulation. And a health weight ha a major impact on your health
later in life, helping to prevent diseases such as osteoporosis,
diabetes and high blood pressure. Healthy Living Through The
Ages in the 30s! Health Concerns: After the age of 35, your body
begins to exhibit the first stage of aging, says Helen Perrault,
an exercise physiologist and chair of McGill University physical
education department in Montreal. Bone mass has reached it’s
peak, and endurance and muscle mass are starting to decline.
Muscle loos in sedentary individuals can be as much as half a
pound a year. Loss of muscle mass causes the body to burn fewer
calories daily, which can slow down metabolism by as much as two
percent per decade, says Perrault. That, combined with lack of
exercise, child-bearing and a busy work schedule, can have a
nasty effect on weight. With women trying to juggle family and
workaday demands, high levels of anxiety and stress are also a
concern during this decade. Fitness Goals: Motherhood and
fitness can be uneasy partners, according to a 1999 study at the
University of Minnesota in Minneapolis which found that physical
activity dropped 14 percent after women had children. With time
at a premium, traditional exercise programs may be too difficult
to follow, says Robin Mech, a fitness co-ordinator at the MacMab
Street YWCA in Hamilton. Mech recommends trying two 15-minute
workouts instead of one 30-minute workout. “You’ll keep your
fitness level up, and it’ll be easier to fit them into your
schedule,” she says. Mech also recommends being flexible and
what kind of exercise you pursue. For example, take the stairs
every chance you get and do bicep curls with the milk/grocery
bag while waiting in line at the grocery store. Suggested
Activities: Try activities such as jogging, walking or cycling,
which can be performed close to home and involve a minimum of
scheduling. Bicycle, walk or in-line skate when you’re doing
local errands or visiting friends in the neighborhood. It may be
easier to try to exercise as a family, cycling or hiking
together, than to search for those elusive 30 minutes of private
time. Nutrition Goals: These are the time-crunch years, says
Schwartz, and healthy meals can fall by the wayside as work
deadlines and kids’after-school schedules get in the way.
However, taking the time to eat properly can help counteract the
effects of stress.

That means getting enough zinc and B vitamins to bolster your
over-challenged immune system. Schwartz recommends choosing
whole-grain foods over refined one, and incorporating lots of
legumes such as kidney beans and chickpeas into your diet. And
don’t forget to feed your bones with calcium-rich foods. Studies
have shown that calcium may also help ease some of the symptoms
of premenstrual syndrome, help control blood pressure and
protect against colon cancer. Women age 19 to 50 should consume
1,000 milligrams of calcium per day. If you rely on a supplement
to meet your calcium needs, choose one with Vitamin D and
Magnesium. These nutrients work in tandem with calcium to
protect optimal bone health. Vitamin D, for example, increases
calcium absorption by as much as 30 to 80 percent. Read more in

Hair removal beauty treatments

Women often tweeze their facial hairs. Tweezing is painful but tweezed hair often takes long to grow back than shaved hair. Men rarely tweeze their facial hairs. Tweezing is a good but painful facial hair removal method. Many people feel than someone new to tweezing might inflict serious damage to their skin and hair follicles. Some women end up tweezing their facial hairs once a day. Tweezing is a safe fast way to remove stray hairs. Determining how much to tweeze is entirely up to you. However, tweezing is better for smaller areas. Tweezing is great for removing odd little stubborn hairs.

Wax is very popular beauty treatments among women. Waxing is a facial hair removal method that needs to be performed every four to fix weeks. Apply a decent amount of wax to the area you intend to remove the hair from. Then push the wax paper onto the wax. The wax is very stick and the hair will become affixed to it. Once the paper is jerked off the hair is pulled from the skin. Some people are prone to allergic reactions from waxing. It is a bad idea to wax on irritated skin or sun burned skin. Waxing supplies can be purchased at beauty stores and prices range from five dollars to twenty dollars.
